After you get through the first months of learning about your baby, you will eventually have time to read. My daughter loves books (and the iPAD too). We started with a bunch of board books but she has a lot of other books now too. You can never have too many books on your baby's book shelf.

The best books for the baby or any child are the ones you and the child like because you will be reading these over and over and over again. I particularly like ones that you can create the sounds of animals or make personal. You soon will find your child trying to imitate what you have read and trying to make the same sounds. This will give you lots of giggles. Gloria
